Australian wheat industry is facing tough competition in the export markets of Asia , from the main Canadian competitors , the U.S. and Russia . Currently about 70 percent of Australia's exports of grains sold to Asia .

Large buyer of wheat and other grains in the market is the grinding of wheat and animal feed makers .

Chief Executive of the company Grain Trade Australia , Geoff Honey , said the rivals Australia including Canada , the United States , Russia and the Black Sea region , which focuses grains exports to Asia , to price competition even more tighter .


" Kite need to show that we have a product that is better than the competitors , because competitors will surely continue to focus on Asia , " said Honey , recently .

According to Honey , a grains industry conference held in Singapore this week to discuss the rules of practice of the Australian grains industry , which will apply to all members of the Grain Trade Australia from 1 July this year .

"The rules of this practice is not owned by other exporting countries , so I think it would be very beneficial for Australian businesses to prove their quality , " he said .

According to Nick Goddard , director of special Federation Grains Australian Petroleum Producers , more than half of the export of oil -yielding plants of Australia , such as canola seeds , sold to Asia , because there is growth in the animal feed market .
