Sony announced at the E3 convention this week that a new Harry Potter’s Book of Spells will be released for the Playstation Move system, as part of an augmented reality pop-up book. It will be the first of Sony's Wonderbooks series; a demo was shown at the gaming expo, which revealed this, according to Forbes. The book is set for a late 2012 release.
In a little demo, the player accidentally summoned a dragon which burned the book – the player had to use his hands to wipe the soot off of the book. The book will also have little pop-up stories showing the discovery of Harry Potter icons like “Wingardiuam Leviosa.”
This fist book published for the Wonderbook will be a Harry Potter’s Book of Spells, an interactive spellbook that will let people flip through the pages and learn various spells from the Harry Potter universe. The player takes on the role of a student from Hogwarts, gradually putting together a suite of spells from the books.
