A Fight Almost Broke Out Between Nicholas Tse and Edison Chen

Namun dasar apes, keduanya malah bertemu saat sama-sama sedang mengungsi di sebuah hotel terkenal. Lebih parahnya lagi, saat itu Cecilia sedang bersama Nicholas Tse. Bisa ditebak, Nic langsung marah besar dan nyaris saja memukul Edison yang dianggap telah berselingkuh dengan sang istri.

Begitu melihat sang suami yang marah besar dan siap menerjang, Cecilia dengan sigap langsung merangkul pinggang Nic sambil memohon supaya pria yang sempat berpasangan dengan Jackie Chan di New Police Story itu untuk menahan amarah sebelum ambruk di lantai sambil menangis tersedu-sedu.

Melihat sang istri, Nic yang tidak tega akhirnya mengurungkan niatnya untuk menyerang sang rival. Adegan yang berlangsung kurang-lebih tiga menit itu akhirnya berakhir dengan digiringnya Edison oleh enam orang petugas keamanan untuk pergi sementara Nic dan Cecilia akhirnya memutuskan untuk keluar dari hotel hari itu juga.

Sama-sama lahir di tahun 1980, Nic dan Edison diketahui telah saling mengenal sejak keduanya masih anak-anak karena pernah satu kelas di SMU dan juga berbarengan saat bergabung dengan label Emperor Entertainment Group.

Sempat jadi sahabat baik, hubungan keduanya mulai retak akibat perbedaan prinsip dan (menurut media Hong Kong) akibat sifat Edison yang sok. According to reports, Edison was unlucky enough to bump into the couple at the hotel, which unsurprisingly led to an enraged Nicholas all prepared to punch the lights out of Edison the moment he caught sight of his "good buddy"'s face.

Upon seeing how enraged Nicholas was, Cecilia used both hands to encircle Nicholas' waist and shouted "Please! Don't do this!". Soon after, she seemed to lose control of her emotions and dropped to the floor while bursting into a flood of uncontrollable tears. Upon seeing this, Nicholas softened his aggressive stance. Thanks also in part to the 6 bodyguards by Edison's side, the clash between the two men lasted for only a short 3 minutes or so. After the clash between the two men died down, Edison was quickly whisked away by his bodyguards while Nicholas and Cecilia decided not to wait for daybreak and proceeded to check out of the Four Seasons hotel.

Both born in 1980, Nicholas and Edison have known each other since they were little. They were also in the same class in the same High School and even entered record label EEG together. They have been very good friends and on very close terms for many years, especially when they first entered the entertainment industry, only gradually drifting apart in later years thanks to Edison's snotty rich-kid attitude, competitive nature and obvious disregard to even his good friend, Nicholas. With the recent coming of light of the sex scandal involving Cecilia, the already cooled 20 year friendship between the former buddies looks set to be destroyed for good.
