Bonnie Wright Heading To Senegal For Charity

Newly-single British actress Bonnie Wright is leaving her relationship woes behind to embark on a charity trip to Senegal.

The 21 year old and her former fiance and Harry Potter co-star Jamie Campbell Bower called off their engagement last month (Jun12) and he has since been romantically linked to Mirror, Mirror beauty Lily Collins.

But Wright is refusing to dwell on her love split and is now preparing to jet off to Africa with the U.K. branch of poverty organisation Oxfam International.

In a Twitter.com post on Friday (13Jul12), she writes, "Great meeting this afternoon with @oxfamgb prepping for my trip to Senegal in a week! inspiring".

Video: Bonnie Wright talks "Separate We Come," upcoming 2012 film, directing projects

Bonnie Wright discussed her directorial debut, Separate We Come, Separate We Come, with Creative Mapping magazine back in May during the Cannes Film Festival, where she showcased the short film. Bonnie talked about where the idea came from and choosing the actors to take part in it, including her former Harry Potter costar, David Thewlis.

Bonnie also commented on her projects for 2012, including her first American movie, Shakespeare's Daughter, which she completed earlier this summer, and her next British period piece, In Want of a Wife, which she will shoot later this year. She also mentioned that she has more ideas for short film projects to come, and that she will next direct a music video. No word has been released yet on which musician(s) it will be for but it will update when more news is revealed.
