There are 2 genders in Spanish, masculine n feminine. It's quite easy to identify rather a noun is m/f; ending o for m, and ending a for f. Of course, there're several words that don't end in a/o, but that's the general case.

The article for m is el, while for f is la

For plurar, it's enough by adding s in the end.

Articles:
m --> los
f --> las

Ex.

El libro (the book)
Los libros (the books)

La casa (the house)
Las casas (the houses)

Hmm... Puede ser que depens en la primera letra de la palabra ::)

Hablando de género, me pregunto por qué Yahoo servidor envía la información de género en Yahoo! Mensajeros dos veces?

Ahh... Olvidarlo 8)
