Private series-nya Kate Brian dan Gossip Girl sejak awal rilis dah saling berlomba di chart New York Times Bestseller. Berbeda dengan Gossip Girl yang mengumbar kehidupan kelas atas, Private terfokus pada kehidupan sekolah berasrama yang, oke, oke, emang elit sih. Seperti halnya Gossip Girl, serial ini punya fans yang banyaaaak banget dan udah dibuatkan spin-off-nya juga.

Private is a series of young-adult novels by American author Kate Brian, beginning with 2006's inaugural entry of the same name. With book series about young women in posh inner-circles experiencing a rise in popularity throughout the 2000s,[1][2] Brian was hand-picked by an editor at Simon & Schuster to launch a new one for the publisher.[3] This resulted in a story chronicling the rise of ambitious teenager Reed Brennan, the series' narrator, as she becomes a member of her new school's elite sorority house—composed of a glamorous yet disparate group of teens known as the Billings Girls. As the books progress, several matters surrounding mystery, morality, and romance arise.

Thematically, moral relativism is a prominent feature of Brian's work. Extreme cases of loyalty and antagonism are personified in characters such as Noelle Lange and Ivy Slade—to degrees that are sometimes questioned or denounced by the narrator.[4] However, it is often only after the details of another character's background have been revealed that Brennan can understand what motivates them, which will occasionally leave her conflicted in her judgments.[5] The series has companion works which are dedicated to further exploring character, including the prequel Last Christmas and the spin-off series Privilege.[6] These subsequent projects center around Ariana Osgood, the saga's third-most prominent figure, who is eventually written out.

Beberapa hari lalu, di website resmi buku ini, CW lagi bikin audisi terbuka buat TV series Private. Selain itu, bekerja sama dengan teentv.com, Private bakal dibikinin web series juga. Modelnya kayak live-action drama gitu, dengan karakter utama bernama Kiran Hayes.

So exciteeeed! Semoga bisa nyaingin popularitas gossip girl. VIVA PRIVATE!

Buku ini nurut aku lebih banyak ttg pertemanan drpd percintaan (plg ga sampe buku 2 sih)  soalnya skrg lg dlm proses bc buku yang ke-3.

Ada percintaannya sih, cmn msh kalah byk sama pertemanannya  kira2 45 % - 55 % (skrg bc buku 4  )

Ga hororr ... ga nakutin soalnya  lebi ke misteri kyknya. Skrg lg cari2 sapa yang ngebunuh, mskipun bnrnya aku udah tau sapa, byk bc spoiler soalnya
